Reggae Icon Sanchez to Headline Micoud Jazz en Vierge

Must Read

After nearly two decades away from Saint Lucian stages, reggae legend Sanchez is set to make a triumphant return, headlining the highly anticipated inaugural Micoud Jazz en Vierge festival.

The Jamaican crooner, known for timeless hits like “Never Dis the Man,” “Frenzy,” “I Can’t Wait,” “Loneliness,” and “Here I Am,” says he’s thrilled to reconnect with his Saint Lucian fans after such a long hiatus.

Speaking exclusively with Saint Lucia Daily Post ahead of his performance, Sanchez said, “Patrons can expect nothing less than a musical journey through love, life, and soul. I’m coming with all the classics, but also with the same passion and energy as when I first started. Saint Lucia holds a special place in my heart, and I’m ready to make magic on stage once again.”

The veteran artist, who last graced local audiences at Jazz in the Park at Carellie Gardens, described his return as “long overdue.”

“Saint Lucia has always shown me so much love. Every time I perform here, it’s like coming home. This return is not just another show — it’s a celebration of the connection we’ve built over the years. I’ve missed you all, and I can’t wait to deliver a performance that makes up for all the time we’ve been apart,” Sanchez added.

Organizers of Micoud Jazz en Vierge are banking on Sanchez’s timeless appeal to anchor the festival’s debut edition, promising an unforgettable night under the stars along Saint Lucia’s longest peninsula, filled with soulful reggae rhythms and electrifying performances.
