BREAKING: Family of Adrianna Younge Demands FBI or Scotland Yard Probe, Slams Guyana Police Investigation

Must Read

The family of 11-year-old Adrianna Younge has issued an urgent press statement today, demanding an independent international investigation into her disappearance and death, and declaring that they have no confidence in the Guyana Police Force to handle the matter fairly.

Through their attorney, the family is calling on the State of Guyana to immediately invite the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Scotland Yard, or the Royal Canadian Mounted Police to take over the investigation.

In a sharply worded release, the family raised grave concerns about the credibility and thoroughness of the local probe. “The family has no confidence in the Guyana Police Force to carry out an impartial and thorough investigation,” the statement said.

The demands did not end there. The family is also pressing the government to publicly disclose whether Dr. Shubhakar Karra Paul — the pathologist handling the case — possesses formal postgraduate qualifications in anatomical pathology and any subspecialty certification in forensic pathology. They are seeking confirmation of where and how Dr. Paul received such training, questioning whether he is suitably qualified to conduct a postmortem examination in a case of this magnitude.

Adding to the growing tensions, the family has insisted that the Guyana Police Force cease all direct contact with them. “My clients have been approached by police officers in a manner that has made them uncomfortable,” their lawyer stated, ordering that all future communication be directed solely through legal counsel.

In a major new development, the family revealed they are in active discussions with North America-based pathologists to facilitate an independent autopsy. A specialist is expected to arrive in Guyana as early as this weekend to perform a second postmortem on Monday, pending the government’s prompt approval of all necessary documentation.

The disappearance and death of young Adrianna has already drawn intense public scrutiny. With today’s explosive statement, the family’s move to bring in international investigators is likely to escalate pressure on Guyanese authorities to ensure full transparency and accountability.

The Saint Lucia Daily Post will continue to provide updates as this story unfolds.
