Newly appointed Miss FDL Pest Control Solutions, Seriena Pompey, paid a courtesy visit to her sponsors on Thursday to express her gratitude and reaffirm her commitment ahead of the upcoming Miss Teen Saint Lucia Pageant. At just 19 years old, Pompey spoke with poise and determination, assuring her sponsors that she would represent them to the best of her ability at the national event scheduled for June.
“This is my third pageant, and the experience has been transformative,” said Pompey. “Pageantry is not just about beauty; it’s an excellent platform for young women to develop confidence, communication skills, and leadership qualities. It empowers us to find our voice and stand up for what we believe in.”
She also took the opportunity to encourage other young women: “Don’t be afraid to step into the world of pageantry or any challenge you face. It’s an opportunity for personal growth and to advocate for causes you are passionate about. Embrace it with courage and determination.”
Pompey was accompanied by her chaperone, Davia Courtney James, and was warmly welcomed by the team at FDL Pest Control Solutions. During the visit, she was briefed on the company’s history and operations. Yaszie Alexander, Customer Relations Manager, underscored the company’s commitment to youth and national development.
“We are proud to support Seriena as she embarks on this exciting journey. Our company believes in nurturing young talent and contributing to our nation’s future leaders,” Alexander stated.
The Miss Teen Saint Lucia Pageant is set to take place at the Sandals Halcyon Resort and Spa on June 14th.
