Disruption at CIBC First Caribbean: Man Detained After Heated Outburst at Castries Branch

Must Read

Castries, Saint Lucia – Operations at the CIBC First Caribbean branch on Bridge Street were brought to a temporary halt on Tuesday following a dramatic outburst by a man believed to be enraged over an unresolved vehicle dispute.

According to eyewitnesses, the individual entered the bank and began acting erratically, creating a scene that alarmed staff and customers alike. Though bank officials have declined to comment on the incident, sources suggest the confrontation may have stemmed from the man’s frustration with a vehicle he allegedly purchased from a local importer but never received.

Out of an abundance of caution, customers were swiftly evacuated from the premises while authorities were summoned. Law enforcement officers responded promptly, engaging with the man before detaining him and escorting him from the premises.

Normal banking operations resumed shortly after the situation was brought under control. At present, it remains unclear if any formal charges will be laid against the individual, and the police have yet to issue an official statement.

The Saint Lucia Daily Post will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as more information becomes available.
