Lance Brown, a 39-year-old resident of La Clery, has been officially charged with the Murder of 20-year-old Jolie William and the Attempted Murder of another female victim following a brutal attack in Reduit, Gros-Islet.
Brown was charged with murder on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, by detectives from the Gros-Islet Police Station’s Criminal Investigations Department (CID). He was immediately escorted to the First District Court, where he applied for bail but was remanded into custody.
The murder charge follows an earlier attempted murder charge, which was laid against Brown on Friday, February 28, 2025, in connection with the same incident.
The violent attack occurred in the early hours of Friday, February 21, 2025, at approximately 3:40 a.m., prompting a response from Gros-Islet police. Officers arrived to find Jolie William, a resident of New Village, Castries, fatally wounded, while another woman sustained serious injuries.
Authorities continue their investigations as Brown remains in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
