MAGGI and Massy Team Up to Serve Hundreds Across Saint Lucia for Good Deeds Day

Must Read

Castries, Saint Lucia – April 7, 2025 — Over 450 individuals from Anse La Raye, Dennery, and Soufrière were treated to a warm meal and a reminder that community still matters, as MAGGI joined forces with Massy Distribution and Massy Stores to present Saint Lucia’s largest soup kitchen initiative in observance of Good Deeds Day.

The charitable event—organized in collaboration with a wide network of grassroots organizations and local volunteers—was more than just a meal service. It was a celebration of compassion and unity, where volunteers greeted guests with smiles, dignity, and words of encouragement. The effort brought together a coalition of partners including Inspire Me of Soufrière, Parents In Action and Youth of Flames Movement of Anse La Raye, Volunteer Saint Lucia chapters from Gros Islet, Castries, and Dennery, as well as the Edwards Family of Dennery.

Also lending support were Ms. Marla Gustave, Social Transformation Officer for Anse La Raye and Canaries, and dedicated volunteers from the Do-Nation Foundation. Adding a touch of pageantry and purpose, Ms. Good Deeds Day 2024, Elvina Emmanuel, joined forces with pageant contestants from 2023 to 2025—all of whom have consistently demonstrated their commitment to meaningful community action.

“This initiative is a reminder of the strength in numbers, and the power of kindness,” said one volunteer. “When we come together, we can ensure no one is forgotten.”

And the work isn’t stopping there. The team behind the initiative has set its sights on Vieux-Fort, where an additional 200 people are expected to benefit from the next soup kitchen scheduled for Wednesday, April 9.

For MAGGI, Massy Distribution, and Massy Stores, supporting Good Deeds Day is more than corporate responsibility—it’s a national call to action. With every bowl served, the message remains clear: we are stronger when we serve together.

The movement continues—one meal, one act of kindness, and one community at a time.
