GUADELOUPE – March 27, 2025 — Saint Lucia got off to a flying start at the 2025 Caribbean Trophy Boxing Championships, with rising star Danaii Cooman delivering a statement victory on opening night in Guadeloupe.

The 18-year-old pugilist from Vieux Fort earned a unanimous decision win over Canada’s Evan Cecesini, thrilling the crowd at Gymnase Laura Flessel with a commanding performance from the opening bell.
