Castries, Saint Lucia – February 11, 2025 – Residents across the north of Saint Lucia could face a temporary water supply interruption this Thursday, February 13, as the Water and Sewerage Company Inc. (WASCO) carries out emergency repairs on the raw water transmission pipeline at Deglos, Castries.

The affected areas span Millet to Cap Estate, meaning thousands of households and businesses relying on the Northern distribution network may experience disruptions in their water supply throughout the day.

WASCO has assured the public that its technical team will closely monitor the situation over the next 24 to 48 hours to assess progress and determine the timeline for full restoration. The company has pledged to provide timely updates as the repairs progress.

While WASCO has not specified how long the interruption may last, residents are encouraged to store an adequate supply of water in advance and make necessary preparations.

The utility provider expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and thanked customers for their patience and understanding during this critical maintenance operation.
